Youth hut is a non-profit organisation dedicated to grooming teenagers into resourceful and impactful adults through a series of strategically tailored trainings. Youth hut was established in 2021, after the Covid-19 pandemic. Our aim is to empower young people, through carefully selected leadership courses to become agents of generational transformation.

My name is Feyikemi and I founded the Youth Hut platform in 2021. It was early post covid after I had just completed the Youth Module with the renowned leadership expert, John C. Maxwell Leadership Team. I learned so much and was ready to impact my boys with them. Oh yes, I have three adorable boys, and my older son was looking at teenage years in the eye. Not that I have not always been prepared, after all there is a wise saying that a child that is not trained at 6 cannot be trained at 16, however, I knew I needed to do more. My boys have to make this world better, and what better way to do it than to be their teacher. I bought the book; Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn for Teens for my first son, but before I gave it to him, I read it. As I was reading, I was inspired that this could go beyond my children. It is a fantastic book that teaches children the principles of learning, while emphasising that leadership start with self. I learned that leadership is not about being a CEO or a boss of an organisation. Authentic leadership is leading yourself first. I wanted to transfer this knowledge to my children, and from there, the Youth Hut was birthed with the aim of effecting generational changes toward leadership.
